The Boston Bruins will be looking to avoid the season sweep as they welcome the Vancouver Canucks to town on Thursday night.
Boston will be looking for some sign of offensive life as they've only scored four goals in their last four games.
"It's coming. That's the way I look at it, and usually it takes a game or two before the floodgates open," head coach Bruce Cassidy said. "And we hope, I'm an optimist, that it's Thursday or at least later this week where it really starts to happen for us."
On the defensive side of things, Cassidy will roll with the hot hand as Jaroslav Halak gets the start which will be his fourth start in the last six games.
On Vancouver's side of things, rookie Elias Petterson will look to keep writing history as he's the only teenager in the last 30 seasons to start his career with at least 10 goals through the first 10 games, and with a goal tonight will be the fourth player since 1920-21 to score at least 11 goals through 11 games.
"For us I think as hockey fans, it's nice to see good young talent in the League. Obviously we've got to do what we need to do to shut him down. But it's good for the city of Vancouver, good for hockey when these young kids come in and get people excited." mentioned Cassidy.
Halak and his 1.45 goals against average will go up against JacobMarkstrom and his 3.12 goals against average.
