"It's tough any time going through what I went through in Boston," Beleskey told Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald. "You don't play for a whole month and then to get back on the ice, it's tough just to get your feet under you. But I'm pretty confident, doing extra work with Jay and stuff. I've always said that if I put the work in, good things are going to happen.
"I think if you looked at preseason and the beginning of the year, everyone looks good, looks fast. But the ice time wasn't there and the next thing you know, you're out of the lineup. And when you're not playing games, you're playing catch-up the whole time. That seems to be what happened.
"I think my speed is where it needs to be. Obviously I'm still working on it and I'm working on it every day."
