There's no doubt about it, Boston Bruins fans and Milan Lucic had a great relationship and love affair during his time in Boston.
In bars and on blogs everywhere, you can still find plenty of Bruins' fans that would be willing to take the forward back in a second.
While he might not outright say it now, it doesn't seem like the forward would mind either.
As the former Bruin gets ready to play in Boston for the fourth time since he left, Lucic told the media on Thursday that he still keeps track of all the major Boston sports teams, Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots but would only smile when asked about the Bruins.
When Lucic struggled last year, he definitely missed his time in Boston.
"When you struggle at times, you do revert to the past, especially when you've had success. Sometimes you say to yourself, I wish I was still here, I wish I was still there.'
The Bruins' room still misses him too as David Krejci mentioned.
"We're friends forever. We're still pretty close. I love that guy. He's such good people." Krejci stated."He was beloved here by fans and his teammates. He did so much for this organization."
While Lucic might be wearing a different jersey these days, he'll be a Bruin forever and likes the look of the new team.
"The Bruins lost, 7-0, the first game and they've won [two] straight since," Lucic said. "That's the sign of a good team. We have to find a way to do the same thing and jump on a team that's playing well."
