Just before the Boston Bruins went on their trip to China, the team signed Lee Stempniak and Daniel Winnik to PTO's.
While Winnik has decided to try and pursue other opportunities, Stempniak has made it clear he wants to stay in Boston.
Stempniak remains with the Bruins and has been practicing on his PTO while hoping to land a deal with the B's.
At the moment, there really isn't any room for the forward, however if
Ryan Donato or
Danton Heinen start to struggle, NBC Sport's Joe Haggerty believes that Stempniak will be signed by general manager Don Sweeney.
Even though he has no contract at the moment, Stempniak has made it clear his heart is in Boston as his family is in the city and at 35 years old, isn't really interested on being away from them.
Do you think the B's should just go ahead and sign the forward now?
