A clear message was sent to the Bruins following blowout loss

This year has been another struggle for the Boston Bruins, and after their blowout loss to the Ottawa Senators, head coach Marco Sturm sent the Bruins a direct message.
After coming off a big win against one of the top teams in the Colorado Avalanche, the Bruins had their worst performance of the season.
Boston ended up getting blown out of the water by the Ottawa Senators on Monday night, losing 7-2.
Morgan Geekie kicked things off by scoring the opening goal of the game, but it was all Ottawa after that.
They went on to score seven straight goals.
Sturm has blunt message for the Bruins
After the game, Sturm ended up appearing on NESN's broadcast and sent his team a clear message.
«You either buy in or not,» Sturm said, as seen on the NESN's broadcast. «That's the difference. If you look at the Ottawa team, they do it, and we did not. That's the game.»
Unlike other games, where the Bruins' PK is good, they were terrible against the Senators, giving up four goals on five attempts.
Even though the penalty kill wasn't good, Sturm blamed it on the lack of discipline the Bruins had.
«I think finally it caught up to us a little bit; we can't take five penalties every night,» Sturm said. «It's going to be hard on our (penalty) killers. We knew they had a really good faceoff centerman lining up every time. They won their faceoffs really clean, and we didn't do a good job.»
The Bruins have a chance to turn things around quick and get back in the win column as they will be hosting the New York Islanders Tuesday.
«That's the good thing, I guess,» Sturm concluded. «You don't have time to really think about that one. You've got to put that one away and show some life tomorrow, especially at home.»
