According to multiple insiders, including Elliotte Friedman, the Boston Bruins and Winnipeg Jets nearly completed a trade involving a top-six forward.
During the NHL trade deadline last season, Don Sweeney decided it was time for the Bruins to make some change.
He ended up trading away some big names like Brad Marchand, Brandon Carlo, Charlie Coyle, Trent Frederic, and Justin Brazeau.
There were multiple other Bruins players that were reportedly generating a lot of trade interest, and the Bruins nearly traded one, or so we thought.
Recently, Elliotte Friedman spoke on how the Boston Bruins tried to trade Pavel Zacha to the Winnipeg Jets during the NHL trade deadline, but Zacha ended up vetoing the trade.
Now new details have emerged on it.
