Boston Bruins center Patrice Bergeron capped off his amazing week on Monday morning by being named the National Hockey League's First Star of the Week.
Bergeron started his week off with the game winning goal versus the New York Islanders on Tuesday. He then became the first Bruin since Dave Andreychuk in 1999 to score four goals in a game versus the Carolina Hurricanes. He added an assist to cap off his five-point night which included his 700th career point.
He followed up his huge game versus Carolina by picking up an assist in Sunday night's overtime loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Bergeron has been a big part of the Bruins current 11-game point streak, which has them now in second place of the Atlantic Division.
Colorado Avalanche goaltender Jonathan Bernier was named Second Star of the Week and Third Star honors went to some guy named Sidney Crosby.
