The Boston Bruins are looking for some help with their secondary scoring and many believed their solution became available. Ilya Kovalchuk and the Los Angeles Kings decided to mutually terminate Kovalchuk's contract and the veteran winger is now a free agent. Almost immediately the connection was made between the Bruins and Kovalchuk as the Bruins were pushing hard for Kovalchuk during free agency. Multiple reports came out that the Bruins were one of three teams that are pushing for the winger. However that doesn't seem to be the case. NHL insider Bob McKenzie spoke about it on Twitter, shutting down the speculation. <q>I probably should have added that BOS appears to have no interest in signing Kovalchuk either.</q> Well that's that, you can forget about Kovalchuk in Boston.
