The Boston Bruins and general manager Don Sweeney are really busy as the NHL trade deadline gets closer.

While Sweeney tries to stay in the race to land New York Rangers forwardChris Kreider, he's been in the mix for a couple of other players as well.

The Bruins were extremely close to landing New Jersey Devils forward Blake Coleman who was traded to Tampa Bay as well as Brenden Dillon who was traded to Washington.

NHL insider Elliotte Friedman revealed that the Bruins were really in it for Coleman into the last second but there was one thing that Sweeney wouldn't give up.

According to Friedman it came down to a first round pick, something that Sweeney simply wasn't willing to give up as he's keeping it in case of a Kreider trade.

Do you think Sweeney made the right decision or would you have liked to see Coleman in a Bruins' uniform?
