Pastrnak Becomes First Bruin in 48 years to Accomplish Incredible Feat

David Pastrnak has done everything and more for the Bruins this season, and his latest accomplishment is a testament of just how good he's been.

Pastrnak has consistently produced at an insane level all season long for Boston, as the 26-year-old has hit career-highs in goals, assists and points.

More specifically, with two assists in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Capitals, Pasta became the first Bruins player since Phil Esposito to record at least 60 goals and 50 assists in a season.



Adam Oates came very close to that mark, as the pass-first forward finished the 1992-93 season with 97 assists and 45 goals, just short of the 50-goal mark. Cam Neely nearly hit that mark in the 1990-91 season with 51 goals but just 40 assists.

In fact, Pasta is just the fourth player in franchise history to reach such an impressive milestone, and definitely the only one in the modern era.

With one game remaining, Pastrnak has registered 60 goals and 51 assists while appearing in all 81 games thus far.

The Bruins will finish their regular season with a road matchup against one of their oldest rivals, the Montreal Canadiens.
