Monday brought a bunch of controversy for the Boston Bruins, and new goaltender Joonas Korpisalo was brought into the middle of it after being questioned by reporters.
Both Jim Montgomery and Don Sweeney stated that Jeremy Swayman will not be present for the Boston Bruins to start the year off, and that Joonas Korpisalo will be the starting goaltender for opening night.
When Joonas Korpisalo was asked about this yesterday he was confused and told reporters that he wasn't informed he would be the starting goaltender.
It seems like management and Bruins players are on two different pages, and makes you wonder if what the Boston Bruins management stated during their season-opening press conference yesterday was just a scare tactic to try and pressure Jeremy Swayman into signing a deal.
Nonetheless Korpisalo stated that he is working hard to make sure that he is ready for when he is called upon.
The Boston Bruins are in a sticky situation right now with Jeremy Swayman, and need to try and figure it out soon before things go from bad to worse.
