He did not live up to expectations one bit, resulting in the Boston Bruins having a 33-39-10 record.
Swayman is entering his second season as the starting goaltender for the Boston Bruins and he seems confident.

Tier 5 being the worst, and tier 1 being the best. The Boston Bruins ended up surprisingly being in the middle, with Yost ranking them in tier 3.
"The inevitable rebuild Boston's put off for what feels like a decade may have finally arrived, but I'm certain Don Sweeney is looking for an immediate rebound from his goaltending duo in Jeremy Swayman and Joonas Korpisalo who stopped just 89.0 per cent of shots last year. It was a concerning drop-off from Swayman behind a weakened Bruins skater group, signed on a lucrative contract through the 2031-32 season."
Swayman struggled big time, but Korpisalo had a somewhat bounce back year after a disappointing year with the Ottawa Senators.
This seems to be the reason why the Bruins ended up landing in tier 3 instead of tier 4.
Jeremy Swayman having a solid performance at the IIHF World Championship probably helped this as well.
