A recent trade proposal sees the Boston Bruins sending a massive package including two draft picks and two players to the Wild in order to acquire a Russian superstar.
Heading into the 2025-26 season, things are looking different for the Boston Bruins.

This shift is going to see the Boston Bruins acquiring some new big names that will be the face of the organization in the coming years.
With that being said, recently Heavy.com proposed a trade that would see the Boston Bruins acquiring a Russian superstar.
Proposed trade sees the Boston Bruins acquiring Kirill Kaprizov from the Minnesota Wild
Kaprizov is currently entering his final year under contract with the Minnesota Wild.
With his current situation, it's unclear whether or not he is going to re-sign with the organization.
If the Wild are not able to re-sign him, they may be interested in trading him to acquire some assets.
Heavy.com has proposed a trade that sees the Boston Bruins trading Casey Mittelstadt, Fabian Lysell, their 2026 first round pick, as well as their 2027 first round pick in exchange for Kirill Kaprizov.

To acquire someone as talented as Kaprizov, the Boston Bruins are going to have to pay a big price.
Both first round picks would be the big kicker for the Wild, especially with how stacked the 2026 NHL draft is expected to be.
Lysell would also be a good value pickup for the Wild as he has been high on other teams radars.
The Boston Bruins have two first round picks in 2026, and 2027, so moving on from them wouldn't necessarily hurt.
They could also opt to trade other teams first round picks as they have the Maple Leafs first round pick in 2026, and Florida Panthers 2027 first.
