The Boston Bruins made a couple more surprising news last night before calling it a day during a busy opening free agency for the NHL.
Everyone knew it was going to be a busy day for the Boston Bruins, but they didn't really make any big moves.
Don Sweeney ended up trading for Edmonton Oilers forward Viktor Arvidsson, who he is hoping can bring in some secondary scoring.
But other then that, the Bruins signed a lot of bottom-six, and depth players, instead of making a big splash.
Don Sweeney ended up signing six depth players including Matěj Blümel, Michael Eyssimont, Sean Kuraly, Alex Steeves, Jordan Harris, and Tanner Jeannot.
But he wasn't done just there.

Later in the night, Sweeney announced three new contracts for players including a familiar name to Boston Bruins fans.
Defenseman Jonathan Aspirot was brought in on a one-year two-way contract with a cap hit of $775,000.
