The Boston Bruins just announced a move with defenseman Hampus Lindholm that has raised some concern in the fan base.
Defenseman Hampus Lindholm ended up going down with an injury in the
Bruins' second game of the season against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Since then, the Boston Bruins have been labelling him as day-to-day, but he has missed the last seven out of eight games.
Now, the Bruins have just made a move with him that has raised some concern about his health.
Lindholm placed on injury reserve
There was some speculation that Lindholm's injury may be
worse than the Bruins expected when he was once again held out of the lineup in their previous game against the Colorado Avalanche.
Now, the concern has risen as the Boston Bruins have officially placed Lindholm on injury reserve, making him the second defenseman to land on IR in the past week.
With that, the Bruins announced that they have recalled
Jonathan Aspirot from the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League.
NEWS: The Boston Bruins have placed D Hampus Lindholm (undisclosed) on Injured Reserve, retroactive to October 18.
Additionally, the Bruins have recalled D Jonathan Aspirot from Providence (AHL).
Both Lindholm and Harris now sit on IR for the Bruins, and it's unclear when either of them will return.
The Bruins got some bad news today, as it was just announced that Harris may have to go for
surgery on his injury and is expected to be out long-term.
