Entering their game tonight, the Bruins have announced Charlie McAvoy's replacement after he underwent surgery.
Bruins fans have been waiting days to get an update regarding Charlie McAvoy's health situation after taking a slapshot to the face on November 15th against the Montreal Canadiens.
Today, head coach Marco Sturm stated that McAvoy ended up undergoing surgery on his face, and there is no current timeline for his return.

Yesterday, the Bruins announced that they recalled defenseman Michael Callahan from the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League, and he will be the Bruins' 7th defenseman on this trip.
Along with that, the Bruins revealed who is going to be replacing McAvoy for the time being in the lineup.

This morning, during their morning skate, the Bruins revealed that rookie Jonathan Aspirot is going to take McAvoy's spot in the lineup on the top defensive pairing alongside Nikita Zadorov.
