Leon Draisaitl, a big name for the Edmonton Oilers, has only one year left on his contract. He might become a free agent next year. But there's talk already about where he might go.

According to Georges Laraque, a former NHL player, Draisaitl is thinking about joining the Boston Bruins if the Oilers don't do well in the playoffs. Laraque shared this on a radio show in Quebec, saying he got the info from someone in the Oilers team.

''Someone well placed within the Oilers organization said that if the Oilers don't go deep in the playoffs, he doesn't see Draisaitl re-signing at the end of his deal and that he'd prefer to be a first-line center in Boston,'' Laraque said while on a radio show in Quebec recently.

It's surprising to think of Draisaitl leaving the Oilers, where he's been a star for a long time. But if Laraque's info is right, it could mean big changes for Draisaitl and the Bruins.

Draisaitl is known as one of the NHL's best players. He's scored over 100 points in five of the last six seasons and has been a top player for the Oilers.

Right now, Draisaitl is focused on helping the Oilers win the Stanley Cup. But after July 1st, he can sign a new contract. Fans will be watching to see if he stays with the Oilers or if he moves to the Bruins or another team. We'll have to wait and see.
