A last minute development in the Boston Bruins acquiring Jake Guentzel in free agency has surfaced.

A new development has revealed three landing spots for the elite forward and the Boston Bruins are one of them. The other two teams are the Chicago Blackhawks and the Vancouver Canucks.

During the end of year press conference Cam Neely and Don Sweeney made it clear that the Boston Bruins want to get faster, bring in secondary scoring and be aggressive during the off-season and this is their perfect chance.

Recent reports revealed that Jake Guentzel will not be re-signing with the Carolina Hurricanes and will test the free agent market, and has been linked to the Boston Bruins.

The Bruins are looking for secondary scoring and someone to compliment the game of Bruins players that are already on the team, and Guentzel would be the perfect fit as he's hit the 40-goal mark multiple times.

He is also one of the best puck retrieving forwards in the league which would instantly make the Bruins a better team.

The Boston Bruins have the cap space to make this work, ultimately the choice is up to Jake Guentzel but Don Sweeney should definitely be reaching out to his camp to see what he can do.
