The Boston Bruins today have announced that off-season signee Max Jones has been officially placed on waivers.
The Bruins have struggled this season, unlike the past two under Jim Montgomery where they have bee dominant. The Bruins so far this year have a 6-6-1 record in 13 games so far.
NHL insider Elliotte Friedman broke the news that the Boston Bruins have placed another off-season signee on waivers today, after earlier in the year they placed Riley Tufte on waivers as well.
The Boston Bruins have not liked Jones game so far with the team, and he will more than likely get another shot later down the line with the Boston Bruins, but for now he will have to prove it down with the Providence Bruins if he clears waivers.
In the off-season according to PuckPedia the Boston Bruins signed Max Jones to a two-year $1 million deal, but has only appeared in four games for the Bruins, with no points, 8 penalty minutes and a -4 on the year.
The Bruins will face the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight in Tyler Johnson's debut.
