Rumour involving Auston Matthews has just been confirmed
Ahead of a big game tonight between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Boston Bruins, everyone's watching Auston Matthews closely.
The Leafs are down 2-1, and having Matthews on the ice could make a big difference.
On Wednesday, people got worried when Matthews missed practice. But coach Sheldon Keefe said he'd still play that night, which made fans feel better.
Then, on Friday, Matthews missed practice again. But Keefe said he was just taking extra rest to feel better after being sick.
Today, though, Matthews was back on the ice for practice, showing he's ready to play. For the Leafs, having their star player back is a big deal, especially because he's so good at scoring goals.
In Game 2, Matthews scored and helped set up two other goals, which helped the Leafs win. But in Game 3, he was sick and didn't score. Brad Marchand did great for the Bruins that game.
Tonight's game is important. If the Leafs win, they tie the series. But if they lose, they're almost out of chances to win. Having Matthews and William Nylander back should help the Leafs try to win.
