Will Any Injured Bruins Return Before the Playoffs?

The Bruins have been without key players due to injury for quite a while now, but will any of them return for regular season games?

Would It Even Be Worth It?

Taylor Hall (LTIR), Nick Foligno (IR) and Derek Forbort (IR) have been out of action for at least 10 games. Turns out, Boston is 9-1-0 in that stretch, thanks to contributions from the amazing depth.

However, as Scott McLaughlin of WEEI recently shared, it's not unrealistic that at least two of them will be ready in the coming days:

''It doesn't seem out of the question that one or both could get back into the lineup at some point over this final week and a half of the regular season. There are ways for the Bruins to make the financials work if they want to activate Hall off long-term injured reserve.‘'

Moving Forbort to LTIR would give the Bruins enough cap space to activate either Hall or Foligno.

But as McLaughlin also noted at, how would that affect the lineup? As it would clearly squeeze some players out that have been playing well.

''That would presumably bump Trent Frederic down to the fourth line and send both Jakub Lauko and A.J. Greer to the bench. And then who else sits once Foligno, a fourth-line mainstay all season when he was healthy, is ready?‘'

With only 5 games remaining, head coach Jim Montgomery has a good problem to have - but not much time to decide - with his lineup.

The Bruins aren't back to action until Thursday, when the Toronto Maple Leafs visit TD Garden.
