Finally! Some major change is happening to Hockey Canada, as it's been reported that the entire Board of Directors for the company has stepped down, including CEO Scott Smith.
Hockey Canada announced the news with an official statement on Tuesday morning:
''The Hockey Canada Board of Directors has announced important changes to Hockey Canada's leadership team. Effective immediately, it announced the departure of chief executive officer Scott Smith. The entire Board has also agreed to step down to make room for a new slate of directors.''
''An interim management committee will be put in place, which will guide the organization until no later than a newly constituted Board appoints a new CEO to lead the organization.''
It's great to finally see some significant change to the leadership group after all the covering up of horrible sexual assault allegations, dating back to at least 2003.
All it took was every single major sponsor to pull its funding apparently!
