Ilya Kovachuk to Boston? It's something that's been snowballing for the last week.
At first it was just a rumor, then general manager Don Sweeney confirmed he'll be sitting down with Kovalchuk's team and wants the Russian forward in Boston next year.
It didn't stop there as head coach Bruce Cassidy was glowing with positivity when Kovalchuk was mentioned to him, and Cassidy was head over heels with all the possible line combinations Kovalchuk would bring to the team.
Now Sports Hub's Ty Anderson has labeled the Bruins as front runners to land the 35 year old.
Anderson appeared on 98.5fm earlier this week with Toucher & Rich and stated the Bruins are the leading candidates to land the two time 50 goal scorer.
Are you excited that Kovalchuk could seriously land in Boston?
