Cam Neely Comments On David Backes Possibly Retiring.

There's lots of question marks regarding what the future holds for Boston Bruins' forward�David Backes.�
The Bruins placed Backes on waivers last week and he cleared going unclaimed by any other team.�
That means Backes has been assigned to Providence, however there's no confirmation that he'll actually report.�
We learned over the weekend that Backes might refuse to report to the AHL, now there's even some rumblings that he could just choose to retire.�
Kevin Paul Dupont of the Boston Globe was able to track down team president Cam Neely and ask him about it.�
According to Dupont, Neely says there's no expectation at all that Backes would retire.�
It's also possible Backes could find a "lingering injury" and get placed on long term injured reserve.�
As of right now though, it seems Backes still wants to play hockey.�
