With the 2019-20 NHL season uncertain on if it'll ever finish or not, there's a chance Boston might never see one of their best defenseman again.

Bruins' defenseman ToreyKrug is set to become UFA after the season and it's starting to become clear that he'll likely hit the market and get a huge payday as a free agent.

He recently told reporters on a conference call he hoped he hadn't played his last game in a Bruins' uniform.

Krug has mostly been attached to the Detroit Red Wings when it comes to free agency but now he's been attached to one of the Bruins' biggest rivals.

According to MattLarkin of The Hockey News, the Montreal Canadiens could be a landing spot for Krug.

"Mega-prospect Alexander Romanov's KHL contract expires this spring, and he's a strong best to begin next season in Montreal's starting lineup, but he'll be playing on an entry-level AAV. Also, Petry is Krug's old teammate from Michigan State and could theoretically help woo him."

Can you imagine Krug in a Canadiens uniform?
