There's was glaring weakness that has consistently been effecting the Boston Bruins this season but one reporter made a dumb suggestion to fix it.

The Bruins are 28th in the NHL on the power play since January 1st, 2023, at just 14.9% but why?

Is Pastrnak the Problem?

NBC's Mike Felger has had some controversial takes over the years. Most recently, he gave his opinion on what would fix the power play, and that would be removing David Pastrnak.

Joe Haggerty of Boston Hockey Now shared Felger's full quote:

''Sit him down. Sit him down. It blows me away. Do you watch the game? Shouldn't the turnover leader take a seat?''

He actually suggested that the most offensively gifted player on the Bruins - who has 52 goals and 97 points - shouldn't be on the power play.

Pastrnak is tied with Evgeny Malkin for league lead in giveaways with 100, however, players like Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Jack Hughes, Mitch Marner and Artemi Panarin are amongst the leaders too. Good players have the puck the most, so they're going to give it away the most.

Felger also mentioned how Pasta had 0 shots in over seven minutes of time on the man advantage, but he has a healthy lead in shots this season.
