Before a big game, the Toronto Maple Leafs are facing a problem. Auston Matthews, their top player, didn't practice today. The team said he needed a break because he wasn't feeling well. Coach Sheldon Keefe said Matthews is doing okay, but he needed more rest to feel better.

Auston Matthews will not take part in Leafs practice today

Maintenance day, per @LeafsPR
Matthews was sick during the last game, but he still managed to score a goal. Now, with an important game coming up against the Boston Bruins, the Leafs need Matthews to be healthy and ready to play.
Sheldon Keefe on Auston Matthews: "Things are OK. He needed another day today just to try to help restore his energy & recharge & all those kind of things."

@reporterchris reported that Matthews played through an illness in Game 3
The Leafs don't want to fall behind in the series, so they need Matthews at his best for Game 4. Winning this game is crucial before they head back to Boston.
