Throughout the off-season, the Boston Bruins have been linked to several free agents, and recently an announced confirmed a signing, and Victor Olofsson's fate with the Boston Bruins was revealed.
After being sellers during the NHL trade deadline, and moving on from multiple big named players like Charlie Coyle, Brandon Carlo, Brad Marchand and Trent Frederic, the Bruins were linked to some free agents that could make an impact.
This is because entering the new season, the Boston Bruins are still lacking some skill on offence, despite the moves Don Sweeney made during free agency.
Don Sweeney had a busy free agency, but it was filled with signings of depth/bottom-six players.
Although there weren't any 'big named' players left on the free agent market, there were some players that could have made an impact, or would have been low risk, high reward for the Bruins.
One of those players being former Vegas Golden Knights forward Victor Olofsson.
Victor Olofsson signs with the Colorado Avalanche
Despite being consistently linked to the Boston Bruins throughout the off-season, Victor Olofsson has signed with the Colorado Avalanche.
An announcement confirmed that he signed a one-year deal, worth $1,575,000 million.
SIGNED: The Colorado Avalanche have signed RW Victor Olofsson to a one-year contract, worth $1,575,000.
Olofsson ended up having a bounce back year with Vegas last year, scoring 15 goals, 14 assists, for 29 points in 56 games.
Ultimately the Bruins missed out on a player that has some potential, and could have made a big impact on the team next year.
