Later the Boston Bruins announced that Elias Lindholm would not return to the game due to suffering a upper-body injury.
Elias Lindholm being injured is a terrible thing for the Boston Bruins, but it could give someone like Matt Poitras another shot in the NHL with the Boston Bruins after he was sent down to the American Hockey League earlier in the year.
Since being sent down Matt Poitras has been lighting it up in the American Hockey League with the Providence Bruins.
In 12 games with the Providence Bruins he has four goals, seven assists for 11 points, and is currently riding a four game goal streak.
