Tonight will be the second game of the preseason for both the Boston Bruins, and Washington Capitals. Both teams lost their first game and will be looking to bounce back tonight.
The Boston Bruins will be looking to bounce back after losing 3-2 against the New York Rangers on Sunday. Whereas the Washington Capitals will also be looking to bounce back after an embarrassing loss to the Philadelphia Flyers 6-2 on Sunday as well.
The official roster for the Boston Bruins was announced, and fans will get their first look at Joonas Korpisalo tonight as he will be the starting goalie.
With Jeremy Swayman still not being signed, Joonas Korpisalo would be considered the Boston Bruins official starting goalie if the regular season started today.
Brandon Bussi and Michael DiPietro both got some action during the 3-2 loss to the New York Rangers on Sunday. Both of these goaltenders will be fighting for the backup role to Joonas Korpisalo this year with Jeremy Swayman not being signed.
Tyler Johnson will be making his debut with the Boston Bruins tonight as well. Johnson signed a professional tryout contract with the Boston Bruins a couple of weeks ago, and will be trying to earn a roster spot. He has reportedly looked good during training camp, and now fans will get to see him in game.
The Washington Capitals have a lot of youngsters being dressed tonight, but one player on their roster to look out for is Tom Wilson, who will be dressed tonight. The Boston Bruins have some players dressed for tonight that won't be afraid to get their hands dirty.
Puck drop is set for 7:00PM E.T. tonight at TD Garden.
