Boston Bruins Patrick Maroon turns his back on Don Sweeney and the team
Boston Bruins forward Patrick Maroon has turned his back on the organization and Don Sweeney following a recent announcement.
Patrick Maroon expressed a lot of interest in re-signing with the Boston Bruins during their exit interviews. Clearly that changed for Patrick Maroon as he is officially leaving the team.
It was reported the other day by Frank Seravalli that the Chicago Blackhawks have signed Patrick Maroon to a 1 year $1.3 million deal.
Sources say #Blackhawks have agreed to terms with another three-time Stanley Cup champion in veteran Pat Maroon: 1 year x $1.3 million.
The Boston Bruins stated that they would like to bring Patrick Maroon back, but it all depended on how his health was going into the off-season.
Clearly the Bruins didn't think he would be a good fit going into next year and decided it was best for him to walk in free agency.
The Bruins acquired Maroon at the trade deadline to bring in some veteran presence heading into the playoffs.
Thanks for everything Patty!
