Boston Bruins replace Brad Marchand: An official announcement was made

An official announcement was made, and the Boston Bruins may be announcing a new captain to replace Brad Marchand.
Entering the 2025-26 season, Marco Sturm stated that the Bruins will not have a captain to begin the year.
Charlie McAvoy spoke with the media during the off-season, and also revealed the Bruins plan for a captain this year, stating that him and David Pastrnak will play a combined role as captains.
But, the Bruins may announce a new assistant captain entering the season, and an announcement was just made.
During their last game against the Philadelphia Flyers, the Bruins had three players wearing an "A" on their chest.
Those players were Charlie McAvoy, David Pastrnak and Hampus Lindholm:

Bruins to announce a new assistant captain
There is some belief that the Bruins are going to enter the season with three players wearing an "A" on their chest.
Shawn Hutcheon, a Boston Bruins reporter believes that the Bruins are going to give the third "A" to Hampus Lindholm entering the season:
With #NHLBruins management saying there is the possibility of the team starting the season without a captain, it would not surprise me to see Hampus Lindholm join David Pastrnak & Charlie McAvoy with an «A» on his sweater this year.
There are still talks about who should replace Brad Marchand as the official captain, but there is no guarantee that the Bruins announce a captain this season.
