Boston beat the Detroit Red Wings 3-0 on Tuesday, and Jeremy Swayman made 24 saves for his first shutout of the season. The win extended the Bruins' streak to four straight.

The fun part came after the horn, when Swayman and Joonas Korpisalo met at the crease and hugged it out.
Bruins fans still associate that moment with the old Swayman and Linus Ullmark routine, so this version hits a little weird.
It also followed another zero on the board, because Korpisalo blanked the Pittsburgh Penguins 1-0 on Sunday with 27 saves. That was Boston's first shutout of the season, and it set up back-to-back shutouts in consecutive games.
So reporters did what reporters do, they asked what was actually said during the postgame embrace. Swayman didn't overthink it, and his answer was perfect.

As a Bruins watcher, I missed the goofy warmth of that hug almost as much as I missed the shutouts.
Swayman said Korpisalo's message after wins like that is,
«It's a lot of love, lot of cuss words.»
That's the whole thing in one sentence, they're competing, but they're also backing each other.
On the ice, the Detroit game was more than goaltending theater. Reuters had Boston outshooting the Red Wings 41-24, with Pavel Zacha scoring the winner and Fraser Minten and Mark Kastelic adding third period insurance.
That's why the hug matters, it's a symbol of the room settling. When you get two straight shutouts, it usually means your five-man defense is tighter, your neutral-zone gaps are cleaner, and your rebounds are getting swallowed.
Korpisalo earned trust with Sunday's shutout, then Swayman justified the coaching choice against a stronger opponent on Tuesday. If they keep trading starts like this, Boston suddenly has a strength instead of a storyline.
Now the next milestone is simple, keep the streak alive, keep the crease calm, and let the goalie hug become normal again.
