NHL analyst makes bold claim regarding the Boston Bruins that could alter their 2025-26 season
After last year, there are a bunch of players on the Bruins roster that need to have a bounce back season.
Everything that could have gone wrong last season, ended up going wrong, and multiple players did not help with the fact.
One of the biggest players that had a down year was goaltender
Jeremy Swayman after he ended up holding out from training camp and preseason.
Right before the season began, Swayman ended up signing a eight-year, $8.25 million contract, but did not live up to expectations.
Now coming back for his second year of his contract, he needs to have a bounce back season.
NHL analyst makes a bold claim regarding the Bruins goaltenders
Travis Yost, an NHL analyst of TSN recently ranked all 32 teams goaltenders in five different tiers.
Tier 5 is the bottom of the ranking, with Tier 1 being at the top.
Surprisingly, the
Boston Bruins goaltenders had a interesting ranking with Yost ranking them in the middle in Tier 3.
"The inevitable rebuild Boston's put off for what feels like a decade may have finally arrived, but I'm certain Don Sweeney is looking for an immediate rebound from his goaltending duo in Jeremy Swayman and Joonas Korpisalo who stopped just 89.0 per cent of shots last year. It was a concerning drop-off from Swayman behind a weakened Bruins skater group, signed on a lucrative contract through the 2031-32 season."
Swayman is going to be the biggest difference maker, if he can get back to form, this ranking will look pretty good.
But if he has another year like last year, then this is going to be a head scratcher by Yost.
