Trade underway in Boston involving a 22-year-old forward: Don Sweeney has no option
The Boston Bruins ended up adding some prospects at last years NHL trade deadline, and now they might be out of room for one of their own prospects.
After having one of the worst prospect pools in the NHL, the Boston Bruins have quickly replenished their farm system.
During the NHL draft, they ended up
drafting James Hagens who was expected to be the 1st overall pick last year for majority of the season.
There is a chance that Hagens does end up making his NHL debut with the Boston Bruins at the end of the year, whenever BC's season comes to an end.
Things are not looking good for Fabian Lysell.
The Bruins are running out of room for Fabian Lysell, and may soon be out of patience for him altogether.
Recently, there has been rumors that the Boston Bruins may be exploring a trade involving Fabian Lysell.
This is due to the overwhelming prospects they have acquired, who seem to have a higher ceiling then he does.
The 22-year-old has only appeared in 12 NHL games with the Boston Bruins after being drafted 21st overall in 2021, and registered just one goal and two assists.
Entering the new season, things are not looking good for Lysell, and it may just be a make it or break it season for the once highly touted prospect.
The chance that Lysell makes the Boston Bruins roster next year is not high, and it could ulitmately lead to him being traded by the Bruins.
