Boston Bruins upset the NHL with their 7th overall selection: It was just confirmed
Don Sweeney made it clear that the Bruins would move on from their 7th overall pick if they had the right offer.
He was asking for a top-six NHL player that would make an immediate impact on the Bruins roster, and the Islanders clearly did not offer that.
James Hagens is a steal coming in at number 7. For a long time he was the projected number 1 overall pick.
Ultiamtely he ended up falling down to number 7, and Boston Bruins fans should be stocked about this.
During the 2024-25 season Hagens ended up scoring 11 goals, 26 assists for 37 assists in 37 games playing for Boston College.
