The Winnipeg Jets' Nikolaj Ehlers sent a direct message to the National Hockey League prior to this year's free agency, and it seems promising for the Boston Bruins organization.
The Boston Bruins are currently in a do or die moment as this offseason comes at a very crucial time, in the midst of the organization's re-build.
Meaning, this Original Six team has the opportunity to shift the culture of the organization just in time for the 2025/26 NHL season.
With that being said, Boston needs to ensure they do everything in their power to push for star's who are expected to hit the open market this offseason.
And according to multiple sources, including NHL insiders such as Chris Johnston and Elliotte Friedman, the Winnipeg Jets' Nikolaj Ehlers has been suggested to hit free agency this summer.

However, new insight has unveiled that Ehlers has in fact informed his organization that he will go to free agency on July 1, implying that Boston has a good chance at acquiring this stud.
