Possible rift between Boston Bruins projected captain and GM Don Sweeney: One may have to go

A recent statement on Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy really exposed just how much he sounds off on where Don Sweeney's taking this organization.
A potential rift brewing in Boston?
That's what we suspect reading the recent NESN article by Jay Pritchard, who revealed that McAvoy is sounding off on the future of the franchise.
Pritchard discussed the injury and his recovery away from the game after suffering an injury in February's 4 Nations Face-Off tournament.
"McAvoy said the extended time away allowed him to focus on recovery and training, something he had not experienced during years of deep postseason runs, according to NHL.com's Bill Price.
The setback began during February's 4 Nations Face-Off. What first appeared to be a routine AC joint problem revealed itself as an infection after further testing at Massachusetts General Hospital."
This isn't what drew red flags, what was taken in by Pritchard next, surely did.
McAvoy is stressing to restore the team's identity
McAvoy seems quite nervous as to whether the Bruins can restore the kind of identity they once had, and so are fans.
The key different between McAvoy (the product on ice) and the fans (paying for the product) is that McAvoy can leave at any given point he would like to, drawing concerns.
"The Bruins shut him down, and he later described the ordeal as a «perfect storm» of bad fortune, as transcribed by Price. By season's end, McAvoy had healed enough that he would have returned if Boston had qualified for the playoffs. Instead, the Bruins closed at the bottom of the Atlantic Division and entered their first summer without postseason hockey since 2016. McAvoy, now 27 and entering his ninth season, stressed that this year is about restoring the team's identity under new head coach Marco Sturm. He said the group recognizes that a cultural reset is required and views the change as an opportunity."
It seems as though McAvoy's sending a clear message to Sweeney, bring back some identity pieces and those who would make a locker room much better, or he may be gone.
