Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy has big game after being demoted

Bruins top defenseman, Charlie McAvoy, responded in a surprising way after being demoted by head coach Marco Sturm.
During their game against the Ottawa Senators, Sturm ended up demoting Charlie McAvoy.
Boston ended up losing the game 7-2 to the Senators. After scoring the opening goal, the Bruins gave up seven straight goals.
Up until this point, Charlie McAvoy has been terrible for the Bruins, and Marco Sturm punished him for it.
Sturm did not play McAvoy much during their 7-2 loss to the Senators. In fact, McAvoy saw the least amount of ice time out of all Bruins defensemen.
McAvoy was held to just 17:23 of ice time in that game, whereas he's been averaging 23:51 of ice time this season.

But McAvoy did not let that affect him, and he went out to prove why he deserves more minutes in their next game.
McAvoy responds well after being demoted
In their next game, the Bruins defenseman showed why he is one of their top defensemen, having a solid bounce-back game.
On the impact card, Charlie McAvoy was the best player in the Bruins lineup against the New York Islanders and even picked up two assists in their 5-2 win.
