Recent speculations and rumors have surfaced in a possible blockbuster trade with the Edmonton Oilers involving Jeremy Swayman and two others, and it's shocking.
Speculations have risen in Boston regarding Bruins' starting net-minder, Jeremy Swayman , as he has been rumored to be a possible trade candidate this offseason due to his extremely underwhelming 2024/25 NHL season.
After securing his starting position, the 26-year old concluded his year recording his worst NHL season of his career yet.
With a 3.11 GAA (Goals Against Average) and a .892 SV% (Save Percentage), within 58 games played, Bruins fans were not pleased, and although these stats could be worse, the Boston Bruins are in search for better.
Following the 2024/25 NHL season, the Boston Bruins have very little faith in his abilities, and now there is speculation that the Edmonton Oilers may once again call the organization in regard to him.
According to RG Media, Stan Bowman was in talks with the Boston Bruins regarding the possible acquisition of Swayman during the previous season, and now there is talks that he may circle back.
«They weren't the only ones who had inquired about Swayman, but yes, I was told they poked around,» the source told RG.

With all being said, it is still unclear whether or not the Boston Bruins organization will bite the bullet on Swayman, but if this Original Six franchise is seeking to do so, they will need to make up their mind quick.
As Swayman does not have any trade protection until July 1st, 2026.
