The first words of former Boston Bruins captain, Brad Marchand, to his new organization was revealed by Florida Panthers' Sam Bennett.

As we all know, losing the Boston Bruins' captain was nothing but devastating, as a Bruins legend for over a decade, this outstanding player's departure has been incredible difficult for himself as well as his fan-base.
Even with emotions high after he was traded to the Florida Panthers just before the NHL trade deadline on Friday, Marchand couldn't resist tossing a playful jab at another Bruin who also got traded, Brandon Carlo.
That is Marchand for you, always quick to poke fun, no matter the moment. However, he carried that same persona straight into the Florida Panthers' group-chat following the organization acquiring him to boost their shot at winning another Stanley Cup.
Sam Bennett, a forward for the Florida Panthers, with a grin of his face, revealed to reporters on Monday how Brad Marchand decided to welcome himself into the chat.
«As soon as we added him in the group chat, he was chirping,» Sam Bennett told reporters Monday, per the Panthers' Jameson Olive. «His first message with a chirp, right away. You love that. It breaks the ice. That's just who he is, and we're excited to have that personality here.»

This comes as no surprise to Brad Marchand's fan-base, an unfiltered gem who is not afraid to speak his truth. Despite Sam Bennett's reaction to Brad Marchand's introduction, the two were not fond of each other not too long ago as they had a brutal altercation.
Sam Bennett took a cheap-shot at Brad Marchand last season, 2023/24 NHL season, causing Marchand to think poorly of this Panther and he did not hold back his opinions, even once he arrived to the organization.
However, the two have begun to joke about the situation.
Luckily, the two seem to be getting along just fine, leaving many to express their opinions about this duo.
The Boston Bruins fan-base and organization will miss Brad Marchand very much, but it is good to see he is still the guy we all know.
