An unexpected development was just made involving Jeremy Swayman losing his starting job with the Boston Bruins.
The Boston Bruins stated that the backup role would be between Korpisalo or Bussi and they will have the chance to prove themselves and whoever deserves it will be rewarded it.
But the Bruins should not count out on Michael DiPietro who had a standout year with the Providence Bruins last season.
The 25-year old has once again found his stride and is looking like a promising prospect for the Boston Bruins once again.
Last year with the Providence Bruins DiPietro appeared in 30 games and had a 2.51 goals against average, and a .918 save percentage. It's not likely that DiPietro will be fighting for a spot with the Boston Bruins heading into next year, but you can't count him out.
