The Boston Bruins entered LA looking to end their two-game losing streak on Friday night. So far this season, the Bruins have been a very surprising team in the NHL.

Last night, the Bruins appeared in their second game of a four-game road trip and things were looking oddly familiar. The Bruins entered the third period tied 1-1, and fans were worried they would once again blow a game in the third period.
Ultimately, the Bruins held on and brought the game to overtime, where no one other than Morgan Geekie scored his league-leading 16th goal for the Bruins to secure the 2-1 win.
When all was said and done, some drama broke out at the end of the game.

Kuemper tries to trip Pastrnak following OT goal

This season, Geekie has been a goal-scoring machine for the Boston Bruins, and it was no different in LA. Geekie scored the Bruins' first goal in the third period and then was also set up by Pastrnak in overtime for the game winner.
But the camera behind the Kings' net caught Kuemper trying to take out David Pastrnak. As Pastrnak skated over to Geekie following the goal, Kuemper tried to trip Pastrnak and skated away like nothing happened.
Had Kuemper actually tripped up Pastrnak, he could've landed awkwardly and easily injured himself.
The officials ended up escorting him back to the bench after witnessing what happened, or else chaos may have broken out.
Kuemper has tried being a tough guy before against the Bruins when him and Swayman nearly fought last year, but it got broken up by the refs.
«(Kuemper) touched one of my guys, and I think that was something I'm not going to accept,» Swayman said in March. «And kudos to him, he stepped up. Just it got broken up.»

I wonder if this is going to cause some tension for the next time these two teams meet.
