Alexander Ovechkin continues to make NHL history, as he tied Gordie Howe's record that was set over 50 years ago. Conveniently, Ovechkin did it against the Detroit Red Wings Thursday night, the team that the legend Howe was most-know for.

As per NHL Public Relations:
Alex Ovechkin scored his 786th career goal and tied Gordie Howe (786 w/ DET) for the most tallies with one franchise in NHL history.
