Mitch Marner's Agent Has Released An Official Statement After The Toronto Maple Leafs Were Eliminated

There are a lot of question marks surrounding Mitch Marner's future with the Toronto Maple Leafs organization, and after being eliminated from the playoffs, his agent has released an official statement.
Marner had some surprising comments during the Toronto Maple Leafs end of year press conference and many believe that due to those comments he is as good as gone. Entering this season there was a lot of speculation regarding his future with the team, and it's now been a focal point for fans, reporters, analysts and insiders.
The star forward has not talked much about his plans going forward, and when he was question about it following their game 7 loss to the Panthers, he seemed to dodge the question.
Darren Ferris, Mitch Marner's agent has now issued an official statement for the first time since the Toronto Maple Leafs were eliminated by the Florida Panthers once again.
Marner's Agent Releases A Statement
Recently, Ferris ended up releasing a statement to the New York Times and stated that negotiations are going to take place behind closed doors, and an update will not be provided until there is something there:
"With the season concluded, there's naturally going to be speculation about what's next. At this time, we're not in a position to share any updates regarding future plans. These are private matters, and when there's something definitive to communicate, we'll do so through the proper channels. Until then, we appreciate your understanding and respect for the process."
If Mitch Marner were to hit the free agent market, he would easily be the most sought after forward come July 1st.
The Boston Bruins are a team to watch out for as Don Sweeney has stated he wants to make the team better this off-season, and the Bruins have already been linked to Marner multiple times this season.
