An NHL veteran of 13 years has signed an AHL contract to keep his career alive after a successful PTO.
Previously appearing in 771 NHL games, Artem Anisimov has agreed to sign an AHL contract with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
Anisimov originally signed a PTO with the Philadelphia Flyers but suffered a broken foot during a pre-season game against the Boston Bruins on September 24th.
Although he never appeared in another pre-season game for the Flyers, the veteran found himself a contract with their affiliate with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
"I've had so much fun, and they offered me the contract here. I'm so hockey to be back.''
''I am enjoying the moment, and I enjoy teaching the young guys. I give them my experience and share my knowledge. I really like to do that.''
The 34-year-old has registered 5 goals and 3 assists in 7 games with the Phantoms this season.
