Boston Bruins trade their 7th overall draft pick: The return was just revealed

The NHL draft is set to take place in less than a week, and now conversations involving the 7th overall pick have started to heat up.
Over the past couple of weeks, conversations between the Boston Bruins and New York Islanders have been heating up.
The Islanders are reportedly trying to get another top 10 pick so they can draft Long Island native James Hagens.
Acquiring top 10 picks is not easy, but if Don Sweeney does move on from it, he could get a nice haul back.
Return for the Bruins 7th overall draft pick revealed
Don Sweeney announced that the Boston Bruins are willing to trade their 7th overall pick, if they can get a player that will make an immediate impact on their roster.
Later on, James Murphy and Stefan Rosney of RG Media revealed that the Islanders and Bruins have been having some discussions that could result in a big trade ahead of the draft.
One source informed them: «That's not a surprise, but considering where some people are saying [James] Hagens has fallen to, the Islanders and Bruins make a lot of sense there.»
«Based on what I'm hearing, their goal is to move up into the top five. But if they can't do that, with the drop-off after the top five, they would like to use the seventh overall pick in a trade package that could get them a player for their lineup now,» an NHL source told RG last week.

In the trade talks, the Bruins have been interested in Noah Dobson, Alexander Romanov, and JG Pageau along with the Islanders being interested in the 7th overall pick.
«They would need one of their current top-six forwards or top-four defensemen in a package for that top pick,» the aforementioned source said.
