A major development has surfaced for the Boston Bruins organization, and we now know why it has been taking so long for an official name to be confirmed as their new bench boss and head coach.
According to a Boston Bruins reporter, Kevin Paul Dupont of
The Boston Globe, the Bruins' number-one coaching target may have just been eliminated from the Stanley Cup
playoffs days ago.
Noted by Paul Dupont in his latest report, Misha Donskov, who was behind the Dallas Stars' bench until he was eliminated just days ago, is reportedly favorited to be named the next head coach of GM Don Sweeney's Boston Bruins.
Donskov was hired in 2015, who was responsible for the Vegas Golden Knights' expansion draft selection, he ultimately built a Stanley Cup Winning team while working in Vegas' analytics department.
Dupont's report on Donskov becoming the next Bruins head coach makes sense, and explains why an official announcement has yet to be made; he was still competing in the playoffs just days ago.
He has the opportunity to lead the Bruins back into their winning ways, coaching winning culture since 2015 with the Vegas Golden Knights, and most recently the Dallas Stars.
«He just does so many things behind the scenes that help you win,» said Peter DeBoer, who is also an assistant for Team Canada. «He's great at getting your team ready, he's great at details, he just does a lot of things that help you win.»
When the time comes, and an announcement is made, do not be surprised to hear Donskov being the next HC of the Boston Bruins.
Donskov is a much more reliable option than other names that have surfaced in their recent
head coaching search.
