Milan Lucic had hoped to make a return back to the NHL this season, but as of right now things have taken an unexpected turn, and it seems like it's over for now.
According to a recent report, Milan Lucic's return to the NHL is currently on hold as his situation took an unexpected turn.
Things have not gone his way so far, as eat the beginning of his PTO, he ended up
suffering an injury that set him back.
Lucic (groin) did not practice today.
Monty: "He's day-to-day. He's walking around fine. It's just a matter of being able to push out there. It's unfortunate timing for him and us for the evaluation process to see if he can make the club. (1/2)
Monty cont'd: "If he's really day-to-day, and he's back to play next week, he'll get into games and we'll see if he can make the team." (2/2) #stlblues
Now things have taken another unexpected turn.
Milan Lucic's PTO comes to an end
Doug Armstrong, the Blues General Manager told reporters today that his contract has officially come to an end.
Lucic is dealing with an injury right now, but he stated that the Blues are willing to hand him an in-season PTO whenever he becomes healthy again.
Army on Lucic: "He got banged up last couple of games. His PTO is obviously over. What we're going to do is we're going rehab him here and get him back health-wise to 100% and likely reconnect on an in-season PTO to get him up and running and see where he's at then." #stlblues
He only appeared in two preseason games for the Blues, recording two assists while averaging 11:58 of ice time
