Boston Bruins General Manager sends a direct message to multiple players after being placed on waivers

The Boston Bruins had to make roster moves before Monday at 5 p.m. when the NHL roster deadline was set, and it caused them to place players on waivers.
Bruins did not lose anybody to waivers.
Yesterday, Boston Bruins upper management of Charlie Jacobs, Cam Neely, and Don Sweeney ended up meeting with the media for their preseason opener.
Don Sweeney had a direct message to players like Matej Blumel, Matt Poitras and
Fabian Lysell.
Opportunity waiting for multiple players placed on waivers
Sweeney was asked why players like Lysell, Poitras and Blumel didn't end up making the Bruins opening night roster.
He said that they were disappointed, but that they are going to have an opportunity waiting for them right around the corner.
Why were offensive-minded players like Matej Blumel, Matt Poitras and Fabian Lysell unable to break camp with the Bruins?
